Un atelier consacré à l’empathie, à la réflexion et à l’expression créative. Animé conjointement par une enseignante et une auteure, il accompagne les enfants et les adolescents dans des échanges sensibles autour de l’empathie, de la compassion et de la conscience du monde. L’atelier s’appuie sur le petit livre A Million Kites, un recueil de poèmes et de témoignages d’enfants vivant en zone de guerre.
Grâce à une approche pédagogique douce et adaptée à l’âge des participants, l’atelier invite les élèves à se mettre à la place d’autrui — en particulier de personnes confrontées à l’adversité — et à réfléchir à ce que signifie comprendre, ressentir et se soucier du point de vue d’une autre personne.
A workshop devoted to empathy, reflection, and creative expression. Led collaboratively by a teacher and a writer, it guides children and teenagers through thoughtful conversations about empathy, compassion, and global awareness. The workshop is inspired by the little book A Million Kites, a collection of poems and testimonies from children living in a war zone.
Using a gentle, age-appropriate pedagogical approach, the workshop invites students to step into someone else’s lived experience — especially those facing adversity — and to reflect on what it means to understand, feel, and care about another person’s perspective.

Née au Liban et ayant grandi dans plusieurs pays, Leila Boukarim vit aujourd’hui à Berlin. Auteure reconnue de plusieurs ouvrages pour enfants publiés à l’international, elle puise son inspiration dans son héritage moyen-oriental, son regard de citoyenne du monde et la fantaisie que lui inspire sa vie de mère de deux jeunes garçons. En parallèle de son activité d’écriture et d’édition, elle aime lire, collectionner les livres avec passion, broder, cuisiner et tenter d’impressionner son chat. | Born in Lebanon and raised in several countries, Leila Boukarim now lives in Berlin. She is the internationally published author of several children’s books, drawing inspiration from her Middle Eastern upbringing, her perspective as a global citizen, and the playfulness that comes with raising two young boys. Alongside her work as a writer and editor, she enjoys reading, proudly hoarding books, embroidering, cooking, and trying to impress her cat.
Née en Roumanie et ayant grandi dans le sud de l’Allemagne, Sabine Bretz est une professionnelle basée à Berlin, spécialisée dans l’éducation politique, la lutte contre les discriminations et l’enseignement. Elle est titulaire d’un Master en anthropologie sociale et études africaines et possède une solide expérience dans la conception et l’animation de programmes éducatifs sur le racisme, le colonialisme et la diversité, destinés aux écoles et aux universités. Son expérience internationale comprend la gestion de projets au Kenya avec le DAAD et le Goethe-Institut, axée sur les systèmes éducatifs d’Afrique de l’Est et la coopération universitaire. Elle parle couramment l’allemand et l’anglais, et possède un niveau intermédiaire en swahili. | Born in Romania and raised in southern Germany, Sabine Bretz is a Berlin-based professional in political education, antidiscrimination, and teaching. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology and African Studies and has extensive experience designing and facilitating educational programs on racism, colonialism, and diversity for schools and universities. Her international experience includes project management in Kenya with the DAAD and the Goethe-Institut, focusing on East African education systems and university cooperation. She is fluent in German and English, with intermediate proficiency in Swahili.
